What matters most
Decide who speaks for each announcement and who lowers the music underneath them.
Points to work through
- Agree the exact cue that starts and ends each announcement so there is no talking over music.
- Set microphone ownership — handheld, lapel, podium — and who passes it between speakers.
- Plan what happens if the running order changes: who signals the DJ and how.
- Keep announcement audio and music on paths that will not clash or feed back.
- Rehearse the key handoffs (entrance, first speech, cake) so the first one is not the practice run.
