What matters most
Ask the venue or the responsible authority for the current noise limit and finish time in writing.
Points to work through
- Find out whether sound is actively monitored and what happens if a level is exceeded.
- Plan the energy curve so the peak lands before any cut-off, not right at it.
- Agree who is allowed to extend and how, if the venue permits any flexibility at all.
- For residential-adjacent venues, plan a lower-volume wind-down rather than a hard stop.
- Record the confirmed limit and cut-off procedure in the run sheet so the DJ plans to it.
